Raspberries!

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

So Mari has learned a new trick. She has gone from just blowing bubbles out of her mouth to full blown raspberries. It's so cute and absolutely hilarious! She even cracks herself up when she's doing it. Plus, she's doing this fake coughing thing too. Ahh...she's so funny!

Yesterday was very productive for me. I was able to squeeze in 4 miles throughout the day, including 1 running mile (man, I'm out of running shape!). My legs are definitely starting to firm back up. In my head I'm cheering on my muscles, encouraging them to combat the fat: Push it out, Push it out, way out! Burn it off! Burn it off! Goodbye Fat!

Last night when I was cooking dinner, I missed Mari so much that I just wanted to hold her. Of course, I had to cook, so I put her in her stroller and let her relax in there until she was tired of it. Then I picked her up and explained to her the importance of blending flavors. I added that tomato paste in the tube is now an essential in our world and I can't believe I went so long without it. (Thanks Simon!)

And what of the birthday month? Well, after 8 years, I thought it necessary to finally upgrade my system. My old was was very trusty and I loved it. I'm certainly going to miss the quirks that I've grown to love. Things like not being able to print while surfing the Internet, or run anything with a USB while being connected online, for that matter. My USB hubs were blown out about a year ago. I found a workaround, but still. Anyway, I'm super excited about my new addition! I love how PRETTY it looks on the outside. It's nearly as fancy as all of the wonderful things that will be on the inside too!! Yeehaw! (yes, I really did yeehaw.) And because I love Don so very much, I'd purchased a desktop computer for him too. He needed a new one and I wasn't a fan of the Father's Day present that I, ahem...I mean Mari and Guapo got him. Instead, he'll have a fancy schmancy new piece of machinery that will allow him to conquer all of Rome (a game he occasionally plays). The monitor I bought him for Christmas will definitely be happy with it, I'm sure of it!
Happy hump day tomorrow!
