Today, I’m giving away a cozy pair of handmade slippers. These are wonderful if you own hardwood floors or tile and you like to pretend to figure skate in your home. They are also really great at keeping your feet warm, too. I know it is the beginning of the ridiculously hot summer, but it is never too early to plan. I will contact Beanies by Stacie to arrange payment and the winner will get to select their colors and size. These slippers are great for men, women, and children.

Pop Rocks are probably the most fun I’ve had with candy. You could make your own at home, but these are for the Pop Rock candy, not any that I will be actually making.

Giveaway 1: Coffee & Pens

Did you know I visit a coffee shop at least once a week to write? I started a novel back when I was nearing the end of university life. It long sat dormant, but over the course of this past year, I’ve opened up quite a creative tap and have discovered lots of content and characters that will forever be immortalized. Today’s giveaway is inspired by delicious hand-crafted coffee & my favorite pens.

Hello friends!

Happy Monday. I hope each one of you had a fabulous weekend. Even if it wasn’t fabulous the entire time, I hope it was great for most of it. Me, I spent all of Saturday laid out in bed. Seriously, I got up at 8, and felt like I was gonna fall down, even though I was on my back on the floor. Talk about major vertigo! I was too afraid to take my vertigo pills (choice of Anitvert or Valium, both of with would have me in a coma-like state for at least 18 hours), so I spent all day in bed. After the nausea subsided, I had a low-grade fever. Needless to say, I spent nearly 20 hours sleeping. I didn’t have anything planned for the day, so it was ok. I allowed myself to not feel overwhelming guilt for sleeping the day away. Plus, it was so nice to hear tiny voices calling my name, crawling in bed with me, giving me snuggles and Sana-Sana. At one point, I had a large flower on my head b/c the Sugarbean claimed it would help with my balance issues. (smile)

One of my favorite innovative companies, Cuppow, had launched a new product called the BNTO.
BNTO (ben-toh) is our new canning jar adapter - it's for bringing great food on the go!

Canning jars are designed to store food safely and make awesome lunch boxes: they are easy to clean, cheap, and you can microwave them! The only problem is that sometimes the foods that taste the best together don’t travel well together. We took inspiration from Japanese "bento boxes" and created a conveniently shaped insert that separates a canning jar into two compartments so you can mix or dip like a champ. BNTO should provide the perfect companion for all sorts of food adventures!
Obviously, you will have to own a wide-mouth mason jar to use this nifty gadget, but if you have one, there are loads of uses. I will be giving away 1 BNTO to one of you!   • Rule #3: Make Flavor Your Focus. S.A.S.S. — the fifth piece of the puzzle (above) — stands for Slimming and Satiating Seasonings: vinegar, citrus juice or zest, hot peppers, tea, and herbs and spices. These five additions not only add flavor to the meals without excess calories or sodium, they are scientifically proven to maximize your body’s fat-burning furnace and are rich in antioxidants, which have been linked to lower body-fat levels, even without dieting.
