Turning Goals Into Dreams

A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline.
I don't just want to talk about it in concept. I want to put it down here so it is real. I want to make it a reality. This summer, I'm gonna learn how to surf. I've been surfing before and folks, it wasn't pretty. I'm not sure you could call what I did surfing, but I was out there on the North Shore doing my best. I tried my hand at it again when out in California. And now, well now, with the support of my husband, we are going to go on a family adventure to Costa Rica and learn how to surf!

Of course, we are going to enjoy the beautiful scenery there. Take in a few zip line tours and conquer my fear of heights by crossing bridges like this one. Oh yes, I want to feel that excitement!

I want to go deep sea fishing. I've never done that. Seems like something invigorating thing to do. I want to dig my toes in the sand and build a ridiculous sand castle with my daughters. I want to have lazy days, get an obscene tan, eat well, and if I'm lucky, really, really lucky I'll not only get to do all those thing with my beloved and daughters, but MAYBE, just maybe I'll get to do them with more of my family and some of my friends.

What are your dreams? Will those dreams become goals?

Oh man, I loved Costa Rica and I'm pretty sure I went over that bridge-or something incredibly similar-up in Monte Verde. I'm in a place where I'm trying to figure out what my dreams are. But once I do...all bets are off. :)
